Matthias Hollwich: Crowdsourcing is next for Architecture

Livsstil og trends | 31. august 2011

Architect Matthias Hollwich is bringing social media to the architecture. In BOOM for Life, one of his current projects, he is using crowdsourcing, the concept of collecting 1000s of ideas through social media to design an entirely new community in Palm Springs, California.  The project is visionary and may be an indiciation of what's next in the world of Architecture, as Matthias explains in this interview at Aros Museum of Art in Aarhus, Denmark.

Hollwich is the co-founder of HWKN Architects in New York and one of the architecture world's rising young stars. In addition to the BOOM project, his firm also created Architizer, an architectural community that helps architects share inspiration, partnerships and projects.
