What is Denmark's Export Credit Fund?

Erhverv | 20. maj 2015

With a guarantee from Denmark’s Export Credit Fund, EKF, Jyske Bank can offer your export customers a unique financing option.

In basic terms, Jyske Bank offers up to five-year financing to your customer so you get your money at the time of sale. EKF covers 90% of the credit risk. You only assume the remaining 10% credit risk.

Advantages:

  • Helps you close sales that would otherwise experience financing difficulties
  • You can offer credit without it negatively affecting your balance sheet
  • No credit administration for you
  • Jyske Bank and EKF will find the best financing solution.  Your customer can then repay via bills of exchange (typically due on a half-yearly basis)

Your customer must be approved by EKF and the credit period must be at least 181 days. There is also a clause requiring 15% down payment on credit over 1 year.  You assume a 10 % deductible should the customer default on future payments.
