Matthias Hollwich: Biology meets Architecture

Livsstil og trends | 31. august 2011

Buildings that generate energy from plant DNA is just one of the visions that has helped make architect Matthias Hollwich into one of the architecture world's most prominent young stars. We caught up with Hollwich at the ARos Museum of Art in Aarhus to talk about his metreepolis project and how biology will come to play a central role in the future of building.

Hollwich is the co-founder of HWKN Architects in New York and one of the architecture world's rising young stars. In addition to the metreepolis project, his firm also created Architizer, an architectural community that helps architects share inspiration, partnerships and projects.
